Knives are never cheap if they are good as razor sharp .Often even cheap knives are made of good quality steel but because cheaper knives are mass produced and sharpened with a machine the cutting edge is not very sharp. Once sharpened by our expert knife smiths they will come back to you much sharper than when you bought them. Sharpening your current knives also helps the environment and reduces waste going to landfill. 100% Guaranteed .
Yes we certainly can, and at no extra cost! However if your serrated knife has little or no serrations left (due to wear from use or over sharpening) we are unable to re-serrate the blade. If you prefer we can convert the knife to a plain edge knife, just let us know when you place your order if you would like us to do this. For clarity we will never convert a serrated knife to a plain knife without first asking you and getting your confirmation.
Here at KnifeSharpen.net we can sharpen and repair all including ceramic knives. While other professional knife sharpening services shy away from ceramic knives, we have the skills and technology to make ceramic knives sharper than new. So, when we get asked ‘can you sharpen ceramic knives’ the answer is a big fat yes! The best bit is that ceramic knife sharpening and repairs are included in our standard knives so nothing extra to pay even if your ceramic knives are chipped or damaged. Happy days!

It is best practice to reduce the bolster to be in line with the blade of your knife, which ensures that the whole length of the blade will be in contact with what you are cutting. A smaller bolster will also make it easier to sharpen your knife at home before your next professional sharpening. If for some reason you don't want us to reduce the size of your bolster, please let us know when you order.
Sadly not now but soon we will start doing it . we do not repair handles. We specialize in blade repairs and sharpening only.
It depends on how often you use your knives and what kind of steel your knife blade is made out of. Typically, a kitchen knife used regularly should be professionally sharpened 3 to 4 times a year. A good test to know when it’s time to get your knife sharpened is when you can’t slice easily through a tomato.
We offer a regular subscription so we will send you a knife sharpening shipping envelope at specified intervals so you will always have sharp knives.
